It's been a tough year or so, though it almost seems redundant to say that. So many people have had it far worse. On the plus side, the medical secretary day job wasn't going to disappear, so at least there's been a part-time salary coming in. But in terms of photography... nothing much beyond snapshots from lockdown walks. No street portraits, no opportunities for studio work, both of which I was hoping to build on right before the pandemic hit. As for properly moving into the wedding photography business, even if only for micro weddings, realistically that's just not going to happen now. That said, I was lucky enough to photograph a few shows for the October mini-Fringe before we all locked down again for the winter, which was quite a surreal experience.

But now things are opening up again, it's finally Fringe o'clock, and it's hard to overstate how grateful I am to be back working with Brighton Fringe again. It finally feels like the mental blocks of the last year are slowly starting to shift. Bring it on, it's going to be a busy month!

So in the spirit of getting things moving again, here's some photos from shows I've covered over the last few years...
